My art is an attempt to capture the impression a place has on me at a given moment in my life.
I strive to preserve this for myself and to share it with others.
I have sketched my world around me, all my life. I discarded these sketches as I drew new ones. I thought that I would like to actually try painting, when I retired. I retired 5 years ago and have averaged painting 2 pictures per month since I retired. I have found that watercolors are most suited to me and what I try to reflect in the images I paint. I have shown my paintings only to family until now. I always felt it to be a bit vain, on my part, to even show my works to family members, much less to others. At the prompting of family members, I have finally decided to establish a web site so others may view a few of my works. *(others will be added later)
I am thankful that God has given me enough talent to be able to see a beautiful scene he has created and to transfer my perception of this to a canvas or sheet of paper. The images I capture are not due to training, but rest solely with what God gave me. I have no art training, with the exception of 1 watercolor class that met for a total of about 9 hours. I hope you enjoy viewing these images as much as I enjoyed painting them. Prints are available, see my contact information.
Thanks for stopping by,
